Tutto Mozart

The project is inspired in the Trilogy of Operas written by Lorenzo da Ponte and composed by  Wolfgang Mozart. (Le nozze di Figaro, Cossi Fan Tutte and Don Giovani)

These Trilogy exposes the basics ideas of the Enlightenment, fighting against the ignorance, superstition and abuse with knowledge, and by doing so, creating a better world.

The Concert, in format of Singspiel, will follow highlights of the three Operas and, by contrasting the ideas of the Enlightenment and our current society, will present the audience with reflections about liberty, progress, toleration and fraternity.

This performans will through Mozart’s Music comment on a political, cultural and social situation. As the time is changing and a human Caracter stays the same we can find a same problematic as in Mozart’s and Pontes time. Description of Pontes relationship between women and men, false friendship and a repress woman position in the society as her fidelity needs to be tested ones again.

As the opera is written in the “age of Enlightenment ” in the 18th century Ponte had sense of not self censuring as it speaks about social freedom and oppress  of an upper class.

The dramatic connection between the operas is a reminder that we a humans have the same doubts and fragilities in ourself as we are not alone and can be understood trough communicate in music in theater.

The comic approach of the Ponte trilogy in our performance will embrace the audience and let her enjoy the sound of Mozart’s best arias that will be chosen from this tree chosen operas.

Our performance will remind the audience that the music theater is an important social cultural critical and political platform.
